Oklahoma Adopts ABCTE Alternative Teaching Certification Program Aimed at Career-Changers
(PRNewswire.com) On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry signed into law Senate Bill 582, allowing individuals certified through the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) to teach in public schools in the state of Oklahoma. Already active in eight states, the U.S. Department of Education-backed alternative teaching certification program is designed for professionals who want to change careers and become teachers. The program, which costs participants $975, comes at no cost to the state or school districts.

HR certification rules to get tougher, starting in 2011

Elevate America Microsoft Helping Unemployed with Free Computer Training
